Global Knowledge Management Coordinator

Description
The Knowledge Coordinator will focus on knowledge & intellectual capital collection from our consultants, organize content in our knowledge base and databases, implement standard knowledge sharing processes to save consultants time and energy, help with user communication of knowledge management tools, aid with knowledge management training for professionals, and help distribute knowledge through a cohesive communication plan. To fulfill this role, the Knowledge Coordinator will:

- Coordinate the collection, loading of and access to Line of Business (LOB) Intellectual Capital (IC) in the knowledge base using content management protocols. Ensure the integrity of the knowledge base (intranet site, online library, databases) by partnering with content owners/knowledge managers to populate and maintain the IC
- Support professionals’ use of intellectual capital (IC), research, data and online resources for client work by making information available in easy-to-use ways on the web and in databases, providing training of KM tools to consultants, distributing KM communications on new intellectual capital and tools so consultants can save time, and by aiding consultants with client-related research requests
- Assist with KM on-boarding for new hires and knowledge sharing training activities as needed. Ensure that users have appropriate training and technical knowledge on Mercer’s knowledge management systems (Livelink) and partner with the knowledge manager as needed to deliver the training.
- Act as an integral part of the virtual knowledge management community, to share knowledge management related information and best practices
- Participate on internal teams with professionals as requested to provide guidance on technical and operational knowledge sharing best practices
- Contribute to innovative knowledge sharing activities and projects as needed, including UAT on IT-related KM projects.
- Document KM suggested approaches; help gather KM metrics and feedback and prepare KM communications

Qualifications
University degree preferred – no specific discipline - Minimum 2 years experience with a document/content management system and/or web publishing experience is a plus
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong project management skills and organizational skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects
- Ability to work in a web environment and learn new technology skills
- Ability to work independently and on virtual global team
