F/T - Library Director - Berkely College (NYC)

Berkeley College seeks an experienced librarian to serve as Library
Director for the Midtown Manhattan Campus. This position provides the
vision and leadership necessary to manage the day-to-day operation and
supervision of two New York City Campus library facilities. Locations:
43rd Street between 5th & Madison houses the Collection Library and the new
41st Street eLibrary and Study Center located one block from the
Mid-Manhattan Public Library and Bryant Park. The Library Director reports
to the Vice President of Library Services and works in alliance with other
Berkeley College libraries.

Qualifications: 

Previous library experience in positions of
increasing responsibility; ability to effectively plan, implement and
assess library services, programs, and technology; successful experience
teaching information literacy; knowledge of library automation systems and
other relevant technology that manage and deliver services, an earned MLS/
MLIS or equivalent degree from an ALA accredited institution; a commitment
to service and student success; the outstanding communication and
interpersonal skills needed to be an effective advocate and spokesperson
for the College library.
