(Contract) Doc Record/Indexer (Monroe Staff'g) (NY)

Document Records/Indexer, Monroe Staffing – NY



The Information Resource Center is looking for someone to assist with indexing scanned and paper documents into our records system. This is a contract position with the Base Pay: $50.00 – $55.00 /Hour, in Energy – Utilities – Gas – Electric industry.
 

Duties: Assist Library with electronic information requests.
  • Reviewing paper documents thoroughly to identify key information in accordance with workflow and record categories.
  • Accurately categorize documents.
  • Reviewing collected documents and documenting key metadata to be used in records system.
  • Data entry of records into the records system.
  • Receive, analyze, verify, code and process documents, images and drawings.
  • Index and quality check documents that have been scanned. Image QC involves reviewing each page to identify poor quality documents for rescanning.
  • Assist librarian with large information requests, index and scan into the library system.
  • The review of documents for quality. This includes, but is not limited to, assuring all mandatory attributes have been assigned to documents using a preset categorization and that all documents have been e-filed in the appropriate location.

Job Requirements

  • Records, discovery or library experience preferred.
  • Computer proficient with a Document Management or Records System (LiveLink preferred).
  • Ability to work in an engineering/utilities, highly regulated environment.
  • Type 55 wpm
  • Proficient with  Word, Outlook and SharePoint.
