P/T - Research Librarian, Time Inc (NY)


Research Librarian (PT, Temp), Time Inc – NY

 
The Time Inc. Research Librarian candidate will be providing research to the Editorial staffs of the magazines the People Research Center serves. In addition to answering research queries, the candidate will assist in building the PRC’s Research Databases.
Requirements:
  • MLS (Master in Library Science) ;
  • 2 -3 years experience preferably in a News Library
  • Will consider a recent grad
  • Working knowledge of Nexis, Factiva, Accurint, Baseline
  • Must be flexible and willing to work some later shifts occasionally on as needed basis.
  • Must be willing to do On Call duty two Saturdays or two Sundays per month.
  • Prefer experience or strong interest in Digital LibrarianshipApplicant should have excellent communication skills, be creative, and flexible.Temporary position is for 1- 2 days a week or as needed.
