F/T - Senior Cataloger/Ref Librarian, Great Neck Lib (NY)

The Great Neck Library in Great Neck, NY is seeking a Senior Librarian I -
Technical Services. The Great Neck Library is not a Civil Service Library,
and has no residency requirements. The ideal candidate will be an
energetic, flexible, motivated individual who will provide leadership and
professional expertise in the creation of original and adaptive online
Cataloging records for all library materials.
This senior position manages and coordinates the flow of materials being
processed in the Technical Services department. Reports to the Interim Director.
Skills Required:
Three (3) years of Cataloging experience for materials in a variety of
formats and languages
Supervisory experience preferred
Excel spreadsheet and data manipulation skills a plus
Enthusiasm for Reference and Readers’ Advisory services
Familiarity with OCLC, Innovative Interfaces Millennium Cataloging and
Acquisitions modules required
Schedule:
Full time – 35 hours/week, includes
one night plus alternate Saturdays in Reference.
Sundays in Reference on a voluntary basis.
Starting Salary:
Full Time: $58,570 plus full benefits package
